Hello Alban,
Blend modes are certainly not intuitive to use in Liquid Edition.
Place one clip on a video track and another one just above it.
You have to drag the upper clip downwards so it almost totally covers
the lower clip. Then, at the leading edge, where the two clips are
slightly separated, add the 2D Classic Transition Effect.
Next extend the transition all the way to the end of the clip by
dragging its edge all the way to the right. There will be one frame at
the end that does not get covered by the transition. Don't worry about it.
Double-click on the transition to bring up its editing dialog box, and
choose PRIORITY.
Have fun experimenting with the different "Transfer Mode" or
blending options.
