  Settings

Optimizing settings in Window's operating system and in Liquid's Control Panel is paramount to good video production and a smooth running edit.

HDV settings for Control Panel / Site  / System Settings  /  Inputs/Outputs

You need to change the output format. This is done from the Liquid Control Panel->Site tab->System Settings->Inputs/Output tab->Video Outputs->IEEE1394->MPEG Output Format setting. By default it's set to Micro MV (NTSC). Double-click on the value and it will bring up a popup list. Select the correct setting to match your camera (HD1 is 720p and HD2 is 1080i). Also, under Site Tabs, you may need to change the Player Settings->Settings Tab->iLink DV->Default parameters matching setting from Sony Devices to Canon Devices.
