Mediation DocumentarySometimes known
as a Settlement Documentary, a mediation documentary is an
attorney's condensed
preview of their case, usually a wrongful death or personal
injury case. The video's principal audience
is insurance adjusters and opposing counsel. The intent is
to increases the probability of settlement before trial as well as
increase the settlement amount.
While the subject matter may be similar as a Activities
of Daily Living (Day In The Life) documentary, a settlement documentary is intended to show the
strength of the plaintiff's case, and creative
elements are allowed in showing both
liability and damages. Every settlement documentary is going to
be different and each is going to have elements that are relevant to
it's type of case. However, each settlement documentary does include
similar key features.
Settlement documentaries are not an appropriate option for every
civil or criminal case. However, they are extremely valuable when
used for establishing the strength of wrongful death cases, personal
injury cases and class action settlement cases.
